1. Roomba iRobot i3+ from iRobot EVO

That makes the i3+ an excellent choice for people who want an entirely automated, hands-free cleaning experience but don't mind taking the time to empty their robot's trash bin as it gets full.

Both robots are good at picking up surface dirt on hard floors and carpets, and they can easily navigate around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates a smart map of your home to help the i3+ navigate and clean up efficiently. The i3+ isn't able to have the same obstacle avoidance capabilities as the i7+ or other top-rated robots we test. It may be stuck on power cords or socks and have difficulty navigating between different surfaces, like carpet and hardwood.

iRobot suggests that you clean the area in which the i3+ EVO vacuums prior to using it. This includes getting rid of any toys or clutter it might come across. You should also keep the dustbin and filter clear to avoid becoming clogged. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is full or the battery is low it goes back to its docking station, automatically emptying its dirt into the station's external dustbin and continues cleaning where it began. The i3+ EVO's battery can last for approximately an hour and a half continuous use, and takes about three hours to fully recharge.

2. IRobot Roomba i7+

The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the top model in the iRobot flagship line, and it has the most up-to-date features. It's self-charging and self-navigating, but the most significant feature is its self-emptying bin. This removes the need for routine maintenance.

The Roomba I7+ is able to make rooms more efficient maps using Imprint Smart Mapping. It also works with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning jobs, and you can direct your robot using the app or via voice.

The i7+ is quicker and more agile in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also removed large pet hair pieces from any surface, including carpeting. The biggest advantage over the Eufy is its self-emptying garbage bin that eliminates major sources of maintenance and reduces the cost of maintenance.

We were also impressed by the i7+'s integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services which we used to instruct the robot to start, stop or pause its cleaning routines and to move around the room, and even vacuum the area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ with these services. When connected to these services, we were able use the i7+'s voice commands like "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options to manage i7+ settings and monitoring the performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

This tiny Dyson model is an athletic car in a sea of cordless vacuums that feel like minivans and buses. It's powerful and has features to replace a stand-up vacuum in most households, but it also fits in well next to the coffee table or the bookshelf, that you can spin around like an enchanted tool.

The V10 is powered by a 7-cell energy-dense Lithium-ion battery that produces power without fading for 60 minutes. The advanced whole-machine filter system is able to trap allergens and then releases fresh air into your home. The specialized head uses rigid nylon bristles to drive deep into carpets, and then pick up large particles or fine dust. It comes with three suction settings to match the task that is being completed. It swiftly switches from handheld vacuum to floor vacuum and back.

This is an average and not a remarkable run time for an electric cordless vacuum powered by batteries. It's enough time to vacuum the typical home, but not enough to reach every spot. (A second time usually works). However, this model doesn't have its advantages It's lighter and more maneuverable than older cordless Dysons, and its vacuuming performance is noticeably superior on carpets with a low pile.

4. iRobot Roomba 694

One of iRobot's most adored robot vacuums, the 694 is an entry-level model that's an excellent choice for people who don't want to spend too much on a robot. It's capable of sucking up a variety of debris types and sizes during our tests, and it often goes over the same areas several times to get a really thorough clean. Its flat front end helps it to reach into corners and along the edges of walls and walls, which is a nice touch.

Its smart navigation system uses iAdapt technology to steer clear of obstacles and guide you through your home.
